Rollercoaster

Teams are tasked with building a "Rollercoaster" that uses a basketball for the carriage! Each team receives instructions for a different section of the Rollercoaster, including measurements for height and width, along with hints and tips for success. The impressive end product may be anything from 20 feet long up to 100+ feet long (depending on the size of the group and the space available).
Your Rollercoaster design will include twists and turns, bends, drops, restarts and more. The final section includes a cage of helium balloons, for which the team will design a clever contraption to release the balloons when the basketball hits (hopefully)! Success is measured by the basketball staying on the track from start to finish and releasing the balloons at the end.
Creative thinking alongside logical engineering will win the day for this event. How can you make your section of the track strong and sturdy? Will you remember to allow time for testing and improving your design? How well can you work with other teams to achieve your end objective?
The Rollercoaster might be our most popular team building event. It showcases so many of the top team skills that enable companies to thrive in today's world, including collaboration and communication across the board, thoughtful use of resources, evaluation, time management and careful planning. Rollercoaster is one of our "One Team" events, where participants learn that the final success relies on all teams coming together to work as One. We can adapt this event to most group sizes or space requirements and we have set up and run this event everywhere from hotels to sports stadiums and offices.
